washing instructions

babaà recommends you to wash your knits by hand with neutral soap (add a little hair conditioner if you wish to soften them)

if you want to use the washing machine we advise you to only use cold water at 0°C ( never 30° ) in a wool or delicate programme, always dry flat and store carefully

if you look after your babaà knits you will have them forever

Size Guide & Washing Instructions

It's been 31 degree yesterday evening when I unpacked this cardigan. So it was unreasonable to wear it right away. But a chilly September morning and quite time while the boys are still asleep is the right time to feel that babaaknitwear goodness on your skin. This, Marta, is pure love . ✨
And I can see myself wearing that cardigan when I'm 61. How I'll put it on the first chilly autumn morning and a smile will light my face when I think of those last summer days in 2016 and how my heart felt back then. #babaà #babaaknitwear #babaacardiganNo19

Loving today’s outfit because I feel like Jane from Daria - all 90s angst and utlilitarianism. I shared a sneak peek of these yesterday, but following the advice of some friends (👋 eliandbarry & awwdacity ), I went on the hunt for a pair of vintage Dr. Martens, and found this beautiful pair on poshmark. They feel worn in and in great condition - the perfect vintage find! .
It’s kind of strange that this is the case given that it’s boot weather here for most of the year, but I actually have a really hard time w boots. I tried a more streamlined fancier boot before buying these and for some reason I just can’t do a fancy boot. Or I haven’t found the right one. AND I ended up going with a shoe that is decidedly not a boot. 🤷‍♀️
I actually love that I chose an oxford because they feel like a black version of my Veja sneakers. With shoes in general it seems like I skew very dainty ballet flat or functional work/athletic shoe with not a lot in between. What is your go-to shoe?

It’s a busy day for me over here: a therapy appointment (yep, a therapist who sees a therapist! So important!) along with attending a friend’s dance performance and afterward watching another friend conduct a concert! Feeling lucky to have artistic and creative friends. ❤️
That being said, the red linen holiday dress I mentioned in stories won’t be ready to post until tomorrow! Check back in then for details...gonna be a cute one I believe.
My favorite and constantly worn babaa sweater, pyneandsmithclothiers dress, secondhand everlane loafers, paired with my ann__erickson barrette.

I know those beautiful & sunny fall days won't last forever, so I'm doing all I can to boost my immunity system now.⠀

I've hung rosemary in my shower, drink turmeric tea daily, and wrap myself in cozy knits so I don't freeze to death sitting at my computer all day.⠀

Also, my friend annikabbussmann invited me for a sauna date last Saturday and we're considering making it a (bi)monthly thing.⠀

For some reason, I only think about going to the sauna after I've caught a cold and cannot breathe anymore, which means it's already too late (you don't want to go and contaminate everyone).⠀

So there, just a little reminder for me to appreciate the power of my body and treat it the best I can so it will support me in return and be strong when the cold season comes.⠀

Color, proportion, texture. Not everyone wants to think about getting dressed as a creative act, but the elements that combine to make a satisfying visual presentation are the same whether you’re talking about a painting or the clothes on your back. And similar to creating a work of art, the feelings and goals behind the work may not be the same as what’s felt by observers.
I’m not sure how many people look at this combo and thing "sexy," but it sure feels that way to me—wrinkles and all. Perhaps because it’s so reliable, I can throw these clothes on and rush out to catch the bus (as I did the morning of this photo) knowing I’ll be comfortable and happy all day. So yeah, a big part of being sexy to me is about keeping things gentle and letting them be easy.
And when I take a look in the mirror I’m also happy with what I see. I really like the fresh + cozy vibe these fabrics give off and the way the colors and textures play so nicely together. Another big part of feeling sexy for me is connected to feeling at home in my clothes and loving the way they work with my body.
Do you have certain feelings you try for when getting dressed? Creative? Quiet? Interesting? Curious to hear how you know when something you're wearing "works" for you.

Might be testing the limits of my chronic tucking habit by tucking in this chunky chunk of a sweater, but I’m pleased with the outcome.
Another 10x10 I’m sitting out; I’ve actually never participated in one and don’t think I ever will, but the excitement other people possess for it is somewhat contagious. Anyone else not participating either? If so, why not?
