Hi, I’m Claire 🙋🏼‍♀️ #aceandjigintro I’m a RN in Portland, OR. I work some and play hard in this PNWonderland: rock climbing, trail running, backpacking, Nordic and backcountry skiing are all my faves. I’ve always had lots of fun with my wardrobe. Wearing scrubs for work has really given me the freedom to pursue everyday clothing without any constraints. In my 20s I was very into vintage fit and flare dresses and wore mostly thrift. My husband and I moved to Portland from the Twin Cities around the time I entered my 30s and that was when my wardrobe started moving towards slow fashion because: (A) I could start to afford it (B) It felt more adult and more me than vintage did any more (C) I was now living in a climate that offered a lot more flexibility in what I wore (byeee MN winters 🥶). Ways my closet has changed since the pandemic started are: (A) Purchased two additional babaa merino sets and have zero regrets (B) More fun socks to compete outfits because I’m going nowhere and so not wearing my fun shoes (C) I really miss lipstick as an accessory. New pandemic hobbies are: (A) started waxing my own skis (B) playing the board game Wingspan {V fun with just 2 players} (C) Cutting my own bangs ✂️ My 2021 resolution to read more {I read so much before I had a smart phone 😖} so far in January have: I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter, Dune, The Lowland, and A House On Stilts under my belt and recommend all of them. Especially Dune, not normally a sci-fi fan but it’s really good! I’ll take all your book recommendations in comments or DMs please! Favorite type of stories are difficult childhood memoirs in the vein of Glass Castle or Educated, lean towards novels in general.
